Two Yelp listings for one address tell two stories

Here is what we found on 10 September 2026, in both directions, so you can weigh it yourself.

On the operating side: evandemvineyards.com loads and serves current tasting room, visit and private events pages. The private events page actively invites enquiries for partial and full buy outs and promises a reply within 48 hours. Yelp carries a separate live Ev&Em Vineyards page, updated July 2026. The Knot carries a listing under the Ev&Em name.

On the closure side: Yelp's Laurel Lake Vineyards page is marked closed, updated August 2026. The Long Island Wine directory entry for Laurel Lake Vineyards displays a notice that the place appears to have closed down.

The most likely reading is that one brand ended and another began at the same address, and that the closure notices attach to the old name. We are not going to state that as fact, because nothing we found says it directly. What we can say is that we could not confirm current wedding operations under the new ownership.

The old website could not be verified, so we are not linking it

The candidate site we were given for this venue was llwines.com, which belongs to the previous operation. Both the home page and its vineyard wedding page are blocked by that domain's robots.txt, and direct checks were unavailable to us, so we could not verify what that site currently says or whether it is even maintained.

That means we will not link it and we will not quote it. If you find llwines.com in a search result, treat anything on it as belonging to a business that has been sold and renamed.

The name to use is Ev&Em Vineyards and the domain to use is evandemvineyards.com. Any enquiry sent to the old brand may reach nobody.

$7,500 on The Knot, $7,000 on PartySlate, neither confirmed

The Knot lists a $7,500 starting price for Ev&Em Vineyards, noting that starting prices exclude service fees, taxes, gratuity and rental fees. PartySlate lists a $7,000 starting site fee for peak season weddings under the Laurel Lake name.

Both are marketplace. The PartySlate listing is flagged by PartySlate itself as unclaimed and it predates the sale, so it describes a business that no longer exists under that name. Neither figure has been confirmed by the current owners.

The vineyard's own private events page publishes no price at all: no per person rate, no site fee, no food and beverage minimum, no service charge. It is an enquiry form. PartySlate's unclaimed pre sale listing mentions a 50 guest minimum, which is again marketplace, unclaimed and unverified for the current operation.

Capacity depends entirely on which listing you read

The Knot lists 201 to 250 guests for Ev&Em. PartySlate lists a maximum of 200 seated and 200 standing for Laurel Lake, plus a Fermenting Room for up to 50. The vineyard publishes nothing.

Both are printed here and neither is confirmed. A 50 guest gap at the top end changes which venues you are comparing this one against, so it is worth resolving on the first call rather than assuming the larger number.

The named spaces come from two eras as well. The current site describes a Barrel Room for smaller events, three primary tasting areas available for partial buy outs, and the full facility and grounds for a complete buy out. The pre sale marketplace listing describes a Vista Terrace ceremony area and a covered patio, neither of which the current site names.

Partial buy outs mean the property may not be yours alone

The current private events page explicitly offers partial buy outs of individual tasting areas alongside full buy outs of the property. That is a useful option for a rehearsal dinner or a welcome party, and it is a warning for a wedding.

A venue that sells parts of itself is a venue where another party can be happening in the next room. Exclusivity is not stated either way on the site, and there is no published one wedding at a time policy.

If you want the place to yourself, the full buy out is the product to ask for by name, and the contract should say what the tasting room does on your date.

The wine still on the shelf carries the old label

The tasting room continues to sell remaining Laurel Lake labelled wines until that stock runs out, which is a small but honest signal of a business mid transition. The Laurel Lake brand was established by a group of Chilean and American vintners, per the Long Island Wine directory, and no founding year appears in any source we checked.

No catering or vendor policy is published by the current operation. The pre sale PartySlate listing described partnering with North Fork chefs and caterers rather than running an exclusive in house kitchen, but that is not verified for today.

The Knot lists peak season as May through November for the Ev&Em listing. No end time, curfew or rain plan is published, though indoor tasting areas and a Barrel Room exist as a physical fallback.

Our position on this venue is straightforward. Call before you tour, confirm that weddings are being booked under the new ownership for your year, and get every term in writing, because almost nothing published about this address describes the business as it stands today.
