Long Island Weddings
For venue owners

Get your venue in front of Long Island couples.

If you run a hall, a mansion, a winery, or a dock with a dining room, this is where the couples hunting for exactly that will find you.

Your venue is probably already on this site. I built a page for every wedding venue I could verify on Long Island, using whatever your own website publishes, and I did it without asking you first. Claiming it is free, takes one email, and is mostly a chance to correct whatever I got wrong.

What is on your page right now, and where I got it

Facts only, read off your own site: capacity, rooms, catering arrangement, which part of the Island you are on. If your site publishes a fee or a package price, that is on there too, attributed to you. If it does not, your card says “Not published” — I do not fill the gap with a number from an aggregator, and where a figure exists only on a third-party site, the page names that site rather than passing it off as yours.

There are no star ratings and no reviews anywhere on this site, so there is nothing for you to defend and no score to pay to improve. If I could not verify something, the card says unconfirmed out loud. You can see exactly how all of this works on the methodology page.

Claiming is free. Here is what it actually gets you

Send corrections and they go live the same day. Send photographs — with a line confirming I have permission to use them, because on wedding images the copyright usually sits with the photographer and not with you — and they replace the stock photography on your page. Send your real capacity chart, your package inclusions, your ceremony fee, and your card stops saying “not published.”

That last one is not a favor to me. A couple comparing four halls will shortlist the two whose numbers they can see. Right now most Long Island venues publish nothing, which means publishing anything at all is a competitive act.

If you would rather not be listed

Say so and the page comes off. Same day, no argument, no counter-offer, no “let me tell you what you would be missing.” That has been the policy since the site went up. Offering it is the only reason the rest of this page is worth believing.

Featured listings

A featured venue sits at the top of its category and its town, and the card is labeled Featured where couples can see it, because a directory that hides what is paid for is worth nothing to them or to you. Month to month, cancel whenever. Nothing about being featured changes the facts on your page — the numbers are the numbers whether you pay or not.

To claim, correct, or ask what featuring costs: iandavidinfluence@gmail.com. One person reads it, and it is the same person who wrote your page.
