Twenty-seven Long Island catering halls and clubs recommend this company, by its own affiliations page: Bourne Mansion, Coindre Hall, the Heritage Club, Three Village Inn and the Vineyards at Aquebogue among them. That is the Absolute Entertainment pitch. Prices are not published; we checked the services and rates page and the contact page. Office hours run Monday to Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m., and Friday 1 to 3 p.m.
absolutedjs.com/contact-us.aspxThe company publishes a list of 27 Long Island venues that recommend it. On the list: 360 East at Montauk Downs, Atlantis Banquets and Events, the Barn at Old Bethpage, Bellport Country Club, Bourne Mansion and Coindre Hall. Also Danfords, East Wind, the Essex Club, Gatsby On The Ocean, Giorgio's and the Heritage Club. Then the Mansion at Oyster Bay, Old Field Club, the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, Piermont, Port Jefferson Country Club and Smithtown Landing Country Club. Rounding it out: Stonebridge Country Club, the Bayview, the Lannin, Three Village Inn, Timber Point Country Club, the View at Oakdale, the Vineyards at Aquebogue and West Sayville Country Club. A recommendation from your venue is worth asking about, because it usually means the DJ knows the room's sound limits and load-in rules.
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 3 p.m., and closed on weekends. A couple who can only make calls on Saturday will need to email. The address is 710 Union Parkway, Suite 1, in Ronkonkoma. The company also operates in Central and South Florida.
The menu lists DJ services, musicians, lighting and decor, photo booths, video and package enhancements. None carries a price on the pages we read, and there is no package structure to compare. The catering-hall relationship is the selling point: if you are marrying at one of the 27 rooms, this is the DJ the venue already trusts. Price shopping from a published sheet is not an option, so ask for the wedding package price in the first email.
The $1,995 base buys a four hour reception with one DJ who also MCs and a basic black sound system.
Adding the ceremony and cocktail hour to the four hour base costs $200 in total here.
The MC is booked separately from the DJ.
Five packages, itemized down to a 12 uplight count and an LED dance stage, and not one dollar figure among them.
$800 to $2,400 for a four hour wedding, with travel included: that is the published range on LIDJ Music's price list.
Thirty-plus DJs and MCs are on the roster, which means the name on your contract is the thing to nail down.
