Ronkonkoma DJ and live music company

After Hours Live Music & Entertainment

Adding the ceremony and cocktail hour to the four hour base costs $200 in total here. The one-person DJ and MC package runs four, five or six hours, and the two-person team climbs the same ladder at a higher rate. After Hours also says it will match any comparable competitor package.

The $100 ceremony and the $200 cocktail hour

Basic is one person handling DJ and MC: $1,800 for four hours, $1,900 for five hours with cocktail music, $2,000 for six hours with ceremony and cocktail. Standard is a two-person DJ and MC team at $2,300, $2,400 and $2,500 for the same three lengths. Every package includes custom ceremony and cocktail music, a basic light show and a microphone for the officiant. The site states it will match any competitor package of comparable quality, so bring the other quote.

Front boards, towers and a $1,000 LED drummer

Front boards in plush black, light-up or rustic wood are $300; a frost white setup is $500. Vertical towers, two or four units, are $800 to $1,000. Wireless wall uplighting is $1,000. A name in lights is $300. Dual 65 inch TVs are $1,500. Event photography for four to six hours is $800 to $1,000. Photo booths are $600 to $1,500. An after-party DJ is $700 to $1,000. A percussionist is $800 for four hours and an LED drummer is $1,000. A ceremony officiant is $600.

Bilingual MCs and a licensed, insured company

Spanish bilingual MCs are available on request. DJ plus live musician hybrids are a stated specialty, and the company sells string ensembles separately. Same-sex weddings are listed on the DJ page. The company states it is licensed and insured and has operated for more than 30 years from its three offices. Service extends to the five boroughs and across the state lines into New Jersey and Connecticut. One fee to note: string ensembles charge $50 per song for sheet-music arrangements.

Ask before you sign

  1. Is the $1,800 Basic DJ also the MC, and how much talking do they do?
  2. What does the basic light show consist of?
  3. How does the price match work, and what counts as comparable quality?
  4. Which office and which DJ would cover a Nassau wedding?
