East End vineyard wedding planner

Rita Ellis Events

Two months out is when the planner steps in on the tier Rita Ellis calls 2-Month Management, a middle rung between day-of coordination and partial planning. The company works the North and South Forks, shows the Vineyards at Aquebogue and RGNY in its portfolio, and its owner holds a master's degree in hospitality from Johnson & Wales. Prices are not published; we looked at two pages.

Four tiers, including the two month step-in

Full Planning covers the whole arc. Partial Planning is for couples whose venue, budget and vendors are already set. Day-of Coordination is the lightest touch. The fourth, 2-Month Management, has the planner take over two months before the wedding, which gives a few more weeks than a month-of arrangement for vendor confirmations and timeline building. The site does not print hours, staffing or what separates 2-Month from Partial in scope.

Aquebogue and RGNY on the resume

The portfolio shows the Vineyards at Aquebogue and RGNY on the North Fork, and vineyard weddings are a named specialty. The service area is the North and South Forks, with events elsewhere by discussion. The owner's master's degree in hospitality from Johnson & Wales is stated on the site. Beyond the wedding, the company handles proposals, showers, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties and post-wedding brunches.

No fee on either page we read

No fee appears on the services page or the homepage. A vineyard wedding on the East End with a weekend of events around it is the stated sweet spot. The 2-Month tier is the option to price if you have booked your vendors but want a professional to close out the timeline. A couple marrying in Nassau will need to ask whether the Forks-only footprint bends, and what it costs if it does.

Ask before you sign

  1. What does 2-Month Management cost, and how does its scope differ from Partial Planning?
  2. How many staff are on site on the wedding day?
  3. Do you work weddings west of the Forks, and is there a travel fee?
  4. How many weddings do you take per weekend in vineyard season?
