Commissioned in 1918 by the industrialist Edward Moore and completed in 1922, this house became the Roslyn Country Club in the early 1950s and has been restored to its 1920s appearance under current ownership. The venue publishes that sequence on its own page, which puts it ahead of most Long Island estates that describe themselves as historic and give no dates. The Grand Ballroom runs roughly 50 feet by 72, the grounds run to about 10 acres, and the bridal suite is Edward Moore's original master bedroom. What the venue does not publish is a price.
Two numbers should drive your thinking here, and only one of them is usually quoted. The $13,000 belongs to January through April and nothing else; from May through December the same listing starts at $35,000. Against that, a 150 guest minimum on the venue's own page means the room is being sold to mid sized weddings and up. The no service fee claim would be the best fee news on this page if it appeared anywhere other than a marketplace profile.

The widely quoted $13,000 is WeddingWire's off peak January to April starting price. On the same listing, the peak May to December start is $35,000. The no service fee claim appears only on The Knot, never on the venue's own site.
The dates come from the venue itself, which is worth saying because so few do. Edward Moore commissioned the house in 1918 and it was completed in 1922. In the early 1950s it was converted into the Roslyn Country Club, the name most locals still use for the address at 33 Club Drive. The current owners restored it toward its 1920s appearance.
No architect is named anywhere. PartySlate describes it independently as an early twentieth century colonial mansion on ten acres of wooded grounds and English gardens, which corroborates the shape of the story without adding a date. So you can say 1918 and 1922 on your invitations with a straight face, and you cannot say who drew it.
The restoration is visible in the room list. Brazilian hardwood floors and marble white fireplaces in the ballroom, a curved mahogany banister and a checkered charcoal grey and white marble floor in the foyer, mahogany panelling and original library fireplace in the Library and Conservatory. Those are specific enough to be checkable on a tour.
This is the number a couple is most likely to get wrong, because it travels well and it travels without its condition. WeddingWire lists an off peak starting price of $13,000 for January through April, with couples usually spending $20,000 in that window. On the same listing, the peak season is May through December, the starting price is $35,000, and couples usually spend $40,000.
So the $13,000 applies to four months of the year. If you are marrying in June, September or October, the figure that describes your wedding is $35,000 to start. We have seen $13,000 quoted for this venue with no season attached and it is misleading, so we are printing the pair together every time.
The Knot handles it differently, showing reception, bar and catering all as contact for price, with a typical spend of $40,000 and peak season given as May through December. The two marketplaces agree on the season boundary and on the $40,000 typical peak spend. Neither is a venue statement. The venue's own pages describe customizable catering, a top shelf bar and stations including caviar and vodka, and then direct you to contact them for pricing.
The getting ready spaces are unusually well specified here. The bridal suite occupies the original master bedroom, with a mahogany four post bed, a gas fireplace and the master bathroom. The groomsmen suite has a poker table, a fireplace and a television. There is a parents' room with a private bathroom, and further complimentary suites for the groom, the parents and the bridal party.
Both the bridal and groomsmen suites are assigned a private butler. That is a staffing commitment rather than a decorative feature, and it is the kind of thing to confirm is included in your quote rather than assumed from the website.
Outdoors there is a garden ceremony site, an ivy laden court, fountains and roughly ten acres of grounds. Per room capacities are published nowhere, for any room, so the ballroom dimensions and the dance floor figure of 800 to 1,000 square feet depending on band or DJ setup are the only measurements you get.
On its The Knot listing the venue states that it does not have any additional service fees or admin fees. On Long Island, where 20% to 22% administrative charges are close to universal, that is a significant claim. It appears on a marketplace profile and not on the venue's own domain.
The same Knot listing also carries the platform's standard line that starting prices exclude service fees, taxes, gratuity and rental fees. Those two statements sit awkwardly on one page. Neither cancels the other, and we cannot tell you which governs a contract.
Nothing about a maitre d' fee, a bridal attendant fee or how sales tax is handled is published first party. If the absence of an administrative fee is part of why you are choosing this venue, and it reasonably could be, get it written into the contract in those words. A claim on a listing page is not a term of sale.
The venue states that pet dogs are welcomed for part of the wedding day, and that this is offered at the Mansion alone among its properties. Most catering halls will not entertain the question. If a dog is part of your ceremony plan, this is a short list of one in Nassau County among the venues in this set.
Tastings are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays. That is a scheduling constraint worth knowing early if both of you work fixed weekday hours, because a tasting is where a menu quote turns into a real number.
Catering and bar are in house, with an on site executive chef per PartySlate. No approved vendor list, outside caterer policy or outside vendor fee is published on the venue's own site or on The Knot, WeddingWire or PartySlate. That silence is unusual and it means the question is open rather than answered.
Their own page gives a maximum of 275 with a minimum of 150, and says they are a bit flexible on weekday and Sunday affairs. PartySlate agrees at 275 seated and 275 standing. The Knot bands the venue at 201 to 250 guests. WeddingWire states a maximum of 500 while referencing 275 in the estate room, and separately lists the guest minimum as 100 rather than 150.
Prefer the first party 275 and 150 and treat the rest as noise until someone at the venue explains it. The minimum matters more than the maximum for most couples reading this, because a 150 guest floor rules out the intimate wedding entirely, and the discrepancy between 150 and WeddingWire's 100 is worth a direct question.
One practical warning. There is a second Royalton property, The Royalton on the Greens in Melville, run by the same group, and the Roslyn Country Club grounds carry the Royalton name on more than one page. When a quote arrives, check which building it describes. The two venues have different capacities, different histories and different fee claims, and they are easy to confuse in an email thread.
No event hours, end time or overtime rate is published anywhere we looked, and no rain policy either, though ceremonies can be held in the garden, in the Ivy Court or indoors in the ballroom. Both of those blanks belong on your tour list.
