The Pine Hollow Club

The membership question nobody has answered in writing

Pine Hollow presents as a private club, and Brides of Long Island describes it in exactly that language. What no source we could reach says is what happens when a couple with no connection to the club calls and asks about a Saturday in June. There is a real difference between a club that quietly takes outside business, a club that requires a member to sponsor and sign the contract, and a club that will not take your booking at any price. All three kinds exist within ten miles of this address on Northern Boulevard.

Pine Hollow does not tell you which one it is. That silence is not neutral, because the cost of guessing wrong lands entirely on you. A member sponsored club can burn three months of your planning if you build a guest list and a photographer contract around a date you were never eligible to hold in the first place.

So the first call here is not about food, and it is not about price. It is about eligibility. We would put the question in plain words and refuse to accept a friendly deflection: can two people who are not members hold a wedding reception at this club, and does a member have to sponsor or host it.

Two club domains, neither of which would serve a page

We tried four addresses across two candidate domains on 10 September 2026. Every path we requested on pinehollowclub.com returned a 404, including the celebrations and private events path where a policy would normally live. Both paths on the pinehollowcountryclub.com domain failed with a Cloudflare 530, which is the error a proxy returns when the origin server sitting behind it cannot be reached at all.

So no club published events page, private events page or about page could be read. That is the reason this page carries no link to a club website. A domain returning a 404 on every path is not a source. A domain whose origin is down may be mid rebuild, mid transfer, or simply lapsed, and any of those is possible. We are not going to pick one and print it.

Other signals suggest the club itself is operating. Yelp showed an August 2026 update, OpenTable lists an active restaurant page, and the two big marketplace listings are live for 2026. That is enough to say the lights are on. It is not enough to say what the club's wedding policy is, because none of those sources speaks for the club.

PH Event Group, not a club catering office, sells the wedding

The one page about Pine Hollow weddings that did load belongs to PH Event Group, trading as Party Harty Entertainment, at 33 Newtown Road in Plainview. It markets the venue and states that in house catering is offered. Name the operator out loud, because it changes who you are actually dealing with.

At most Long Island clubs the catering director is a club employee. That person works the member calendar, knows which dates the golf committee will never release, and can tell you in one sentence whether your enquiry is even permissible. An outside events company has a different employer, a different incentive and a different set of keys. It is very good at selling the room. It is not the body that writes the club's bylaws.

That distinction also explains why the silence on membership may not be deliberate. The people running the marketing are not the people who decide who may hold an event. Ask to be put through to the club side of that line, and get the eligibility answer from someone who works for the club. PH Event Group's page says nothing about membership either. We checked it twice.

Three sources, three different guest counts, one conflicting ZIP

The Knot places Pine Hollow in a 251 to 300 guest band. WeddingWire says 100 to 280. Brides of Long Island says 275. Those are not small variations. They describe rooms of materially different size, and we are printing all three rather than choosing, because not one of them comes from the club and there is no honest basis for preferring a single figure.

No published source names a room. The Knot describes multiple ballrooms, outdoor ceremony spaces and on site accommodation across a 133 acre estate. Neither square footage nor per room capacity appears anywhere, and no floor plan is published. If you are trying to work out where 250 people sit down to dinner, the published record simply cannot answer you.

The address does not fully agree with itself either. PH Event Group gives 6601 Northern Boulevard, East Norwich, NY 11732. Brides of Long Island prints the same street address with ZIP 11752. One of them is a typo, and it is worth confirming the correct ZIP before you have 250 invitations printed.

What $290 on The Knot does and does not mean

Both The Knot and WeddingWire show $290 as a starting price. Neither says what the $290 buys. On the same listing, reception, ceremony, bar service and catering all read contact for price, so the figure floats free of any actual product. It could be a per head package rate. It could be a flat opening figure. The listing does not say, and we will not decide on its behalf.

What those listings definitely do not carry is any note that this is a private club. A couple who finds Pine Hollow through a marketplace search sees a golf estate, a number that looks approachable next to Nassau County ballroom pricing, and an enquiry button. Nothing in that flow tells them eligibility is an open question. That contrast is the most useful thing on this page.

Absent from every source we checked: any food and beverage minimum, any service charge or maitre d' percentage, any end time, and any weather policy attached to the outdoor ceremony spaces. The Knot notes only that starting prices sit before service fees, taxes, gratuity and rental fees. That is boilerplate carried on every listing on the site, and it is not a number you can budget against.
