Book a wedding at Danfords and you are effectively dealing with two companies. The hotel and marina belong to TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas; the ballrooms, the food and the bar have been run since 2025 by Pearl Catering. That split is not a problem for you. It is the reason there is a published price list at all, and on Long Island that is rarer than it should be.
TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas acquired Danfords in July 2021 from The Crest Group. The food and beverage side changed hands again more recently: Pearl Catering describes itself as the catering division of Top Flight Hospitality Group, part of J&B Restaurant Partners, and says it took over all F&B at Danfords in 2025. That is the same group behind Flo’s Famous, Gatsby on the Ocean and the Tiki Joe’s beach clubs. The on-site restaurants are now Ferryman’s Grille and the Black Pearl Seafood Chophouse.
Practically, that means your room block and your reception may be quoted by different desks. Not a red flag, just a thing to sort out on call one: ask who countersigns the catering contract and who holds the block.
Pearl’s wedding package PDF is the most detailed thing any waterfront venue in this part of Suffolk has put on the open web. Only two of the seven wedding packages carry a flat price. Grandview Dream Sit Down is $12,500.00++ with beer, wine and champagne, or $13,750.00++ with open bar, five hours, up to 90 guests, with each additional guest at $125.00++ or $137.50++. Grandview Dream Cocktail Style is $14,250.00++ or $15,500.00++ on the same terms, additional guests $142.50++ / $155.00++. The other five packages are quoted by day of week and time of year.
The add-ons are where you learn what a wedding here really costs. An on-site ceremony is $1,500 for a full hour or $1,000 for a half hour, added to the party. An extra hour is $1,500.00++. A getting-ready room for up to five hours is $2,000.00++. An after-party runs from ninety minutes, priced $1,500 to $4,000 plus tax and admin depending on the entertainment. A Viennese dessert display is $1,500 under 75 guests, $2,200 for 75 to 150, and $2,700 above that. Bars are priced separately: beer, wine and champagne $18.00++ a head, mid-line open bar $24.00++, premium $29.00++ — all three marked on the sheet as valid only until 12/31/2025. Filet is a $9 upgrade; lobster tail and filet is $22.
Two things about those plus signs. The sheet says all prices are plus tax and admin, and it never states the admin percentage anywhere. Get that number before you compare Danfords against anything else, because an administrative charge nobody has written down for you on $14,000 is a bigger line than most of the add-ons above. The sheet carries two different expiry dates, which is worth catching. The wedding packages are marked valid until 12/31/2026. The bar packages and the getting-ready room are marked valid until 12/31/2025, so those numbers are already out of date. Ask for the current sheet before you build anything on them.
The rooms are Harborview, Coastal, Brookhaven and Grandview. Guest minimums track the room rather than the date: the Micro Sit Down needs 20 in Harborview, 40 in Coastal and 75 in Brookhaven Sunday through Thursday. The corporate section is the other place the document lets you infer relative size, pricing day rental at $500 Harborview, $700 Coastal, $900 Brookhaven.
Danfords’ own site puts the property at “over 12,000 square feet” of function space. TPG’s 2021 acquisition release said roughly 14,000. Neither breaks it out room by room, so ask for a floor plan with dimensions and make somebody write the room name into your contract.
Danfords is 25 East Broadway. The Bridgeport & Port Jefferson ferry terminal is 102 West Broadway, the same short stretch of harbour front. The crossing is about 18 miles and roughly an hour and fifteen minutes, and the company has been running it since 1883. If a real share of your guest list lives in Connecticut, that is a genuine logistical advantage and one nobody prices into a comparison.
It cuts the other way too. This is a working harbour, not a decorative one. The marina runs more than 100 slips and takes vessels up to 320 feet, so what moves past your windows during dinner is boat traffic and a car ferry. Plenty of couples pick Danfords precisely for that. Just do the walk on a Saturday afternoon in season before you decide you love it. Other waterfront rooms on the Island give you flat water and nothing happening on it.
