The Piermont

A venue that publishes nothing is not necessarily hiding anything, but it does shift all the work onto you. The Piermont sits at 494 Fire Island Avenue in Babylon, on the Great South Bay, in the building that used to be the Venetian Yacht Club. The location is real and the water is right there. The numbers are simply not on the website in any form.

The building has had three lives

Before it was a wedding venue it was the Babylon Venetian Yacht Club, and before that John Anthony’s on the Water. Andrew Affa and Steve Squitiro took it over in January 2018, gutted it top to bottom and held the grand opening on 12 June 2018. The pair had run Carlyle on the Green at Bethpage together before this, which is a useful thing to know about how the room is likely to be operated.

Their company, SAF Hospitality Group, has kept building since: Arlo Kitchen and Bar in Northport, The James in Babylon Village from May 2024, a second James in Garden City that opened in July 2026. Drift, the seafood restaurant at this address, is theirs. The operator is active, not coasting, which counts when you are booking eighteen months out.

No capacity. No room names. No minimums. No package price, no ceremony fee, no service charge percentage. Their weddings page offers “a wedding venue package for every budget” and stops there. We could not find a single hard figure published by the venue, and we are not going to borrow one from an aggregator and pretend it is theirs.

So: how many seated in the main room, and how many standing. Is more than one wedding on the property at a time. What does an outdoor ceremony cost as its own line. What is the service or administrative charge, as a percentage. What does a Saturday in June start at. Write the answers down with the date you got them, then set them beside a venue that does publish, like the two in Cutchogue. You will know inside a minute whether the quote is competitive.
