Riviera Waterfront Mansion

Third generation, same family, since 1946. That is the Riviera’s pitch and it is a fair one, because on the South Shore continuity is rarer than a water view. The mansion sits at 200 East Shore Drive in Massapequa, runs one wedding at a time, and takes 150 to 350 guests with 150 as a hard floor.

One wedding at a time, and a 150-guest floor

The minimum is the number that decides whether this venue belongs on your list at all. Planning for 110 people? The Riviera is not a smaller version of itself at 110. You pay for 150 either way, or you go and look at rooms built for smaller lists. At the top end, 350 is generous for a South Shore mansion, and because only one event runs at a time the whole building and the waterfront go with the booking.

What the package covers, per their own menu page: a five-hour top-shelf open bar, a cocktail hour with a carving station, a plated dinner with four entrée selections, a champagne toast for every guest, a bridal attendant and a personal maître d’, tables and linens. They also list a backup generator and climate control, which reads like a venue that lost power on a Saturday once and does not intend to repeat it.

They will not put a price on the internet

There is a page called wedding pricing. It contains no pricing. It is a form that emails you a brochure. No per-head figure, no minimum spend, no service charge and no seasonal tier appears anywhere on the site, and we are not going to invent one to fill the gap.

Tours are by appointment only, Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, running 60 to 90 minutes. They prefer to show the building when nothing is happening in it, which is honest and also means you will not see the room live. The site says limited dates remain for 2026 and 2027. Ask what an off-peak date does to the number; on the water, a Friday in April is a different venue at a different price.
