Founded in 1993, and the tenure counts do not agree

The venue's own site gives a 1993 founding and describes the business as family owned. WeddingWire says 33 years in business, which lines up with 1993 read from 2026. Zola says family owned and operating 20 plus years, which is looser and does not contradict either.

There is no architect and no original estate name, because there is no estate. This is a purpose built venue inside Sunset Harbour Marina rather than a converted mansion, and the pitch is the water rather than the woodwork. Zola and WeddingWire both describe the property as recently renovated, without either of them giving a year.

The docks are the ceremony space and the deck is the cocktail hour

The Knot and WeddingWire both describe ceremonies held on the venue's private docks. That is a different arrangement from a lawn with a water view. Your guests stand on a dock in a marina, and the boats behind the officiant belong to somebody.

The room list is partly guesswork from the outside. The Knot and WeddingWire name a Harbour Room as the main banquet space with panoramic marina views, and a second room called Figure 8. The venue's own site references multiple ballrooms and offers a video tour without naming a single one. WeddingWire counts two event rooms.

There is an outdoor deck over the water, get ready rooms described as bridal chambers, and an adjacent Tiki Bar operating at the same marina. That last one is a real option for welcome drinks or an after party. It is also the reason to ask hard about exclusivity.

Capacity is up to 250, per The Knot and WeddingWire. No first party capacity figure is published, and no per room or ceremony only figure exists anywhere. If you are at 220 people, get the Harbour Room's seated number with a dance floor in writing.

$11,800 is a total, and $17 is the only real per person figure

There is no published per person catering rate. Not on sunset-harbour.com, which advertises all inclusive wedding packages, all inclusive event packages and a micro wedding package without attaching a price to any of them.

What The Knot and WeddingWire do publish is a reception starting price: $11,800 off peak and $13,800 peak, with peak running May through October and off peak November through April. Those are totals, not rates, and they arrive with no guest count attached. The Knot adds that couples typically spend $15,500 and WeddingWire gives a typical range of $14,100 to $15,500. Both of those are platform estimates.

Bar service is listed at $17 per person on both platforms. That is the only per head number in circulation for this venue, and it covers drinks rather than dinner.

The ceremony fee is $795 on WeddingWire. There is no separate reception site fee, and the starting price is described as covering the bridal suite, chairs, china, cleanup, event planning, flatware, glassware, linens, setup and tables. No service charge percentage, administrative fee, maitre d' fee or bridal attendant fee is published by anybody.

A published micro wedding package, which is rarer than it should be

Sunset Harbour lists a micro wedding package alongside its full ones. Most Long Island waterfront halls do not, because a 60 person Saturday is worth less to them than a 200 person Saturday. Here it exists as a named product on the venue's own site.

It carries no published price, like everything else. Ask for the micro package sheet specifically, ask what its guest ceiling is, and ask which days it runs, because a package like this usually lives on a Friday or a Sunday.

No food and beverage minimum and no guest minimum is published on the venue site, The Knot, WeddingWire or Zola. For a hall selling a micro package, that absence is at least consistent.

Two rooms, a Tiki Bar, and no promise of the place to yourselves

Exclusivity is not published. WeddingWire counts two event rooms and there is a bar operating at the same marina. Nothing on the venue's own site claims one wedding at a time, and no marketplace answers the question.

That is worth a direct ask, because a dock ceremony is an outdoor ceremony in a working marina. Other people's boats and other people's Saturday afternoon are part of the setting. Ask what else is booked, and ask whether the docks are closed to marina traffic during your ceremony.

No end time, no reception length and no curfew is published anywhere. There is no rain plan either, although dock and deck ceremonies with an indoor ballroom behind them mean the fallback exists in fact. Get both written into the contract.

Check the domain, and check which town the listing is using

Two things that waste people's time here. The official site is sunset-harbour.com. Older link lists circulate sunsetharbourny.com, which is not the venue's site and will not reach its inbox.

The address is also filed under two towns. The venue and The Knot say East Patchogue. WeddingWire and other directories say Patchogue. It is the same building at 90 Colonial Drive, so do not treat two listings as two venues.

On vendors, WeddingWire describes flexibility with outside vendors while the venue promotes preferred partners for photography, DJ, floral and limousine. Catering and bar are in house. Whether an outside caterer is permitted at all is not published, and no outside vendor fee is published either. If you already have a photographer, confirm in writing that a preferred partner is a suggestion and not a requirement.
