The Saturday minimum is fifty guests higher than Friday or Sunday

Here Comes The Guide is the only source that breaks the minimum out by day: 100 on Friday and Sunday, 150 on Saturday. WeddingWire lists a flat 100 guest minimum and does not distinguish. No dollar food and beverage minimum is published by anyone.

A day of week minimum is a pricing lever disguised as a policy. For a couple with a guest list of 110, a Saturday at Soundview means paying for forty guests who will never arrive, and a Friday means paying for none. That difference will usually be larger than the per person gap between two venues you are comparing.

So the first question for this venue is not what it costs per head. It is what the minimum is for your specific date, in writing, and whether it moves in the off season.

$110 to $176 per person, all of it from marketplaces

Here Comes The Guide gives a range of $110 to $176 per person depending on day of week, season, event duration and event type. The Knot lists a reception starting price of $110 per person and WeddingWire lists $110 per person, both consistent with the bottom of that range.

Nothing per person appears anywhere on soundviewcaterers.com. The weddings page, the events page and the location landing page all direct couples to call. So the $110 floor is a marketplace figure that three sources happen to agree on, and the $176 ceiling comes from one.

Here Comes The Guide also carries a 2026 promotion: Saturday weddings from $150 per person with a 100 guest minimum for remaining 2026 dates. That is date limited and it lowers the Saturday minimum from 150 to 100, which is the more interesting half of the offer. It will go stale, so treat it as something to ask about rather than a rate to rely on.

No service charge, administrative fee, maitre d' fee or bridal attendant fee is published on the venue's site or on any of the eight listings we read. On a venue quoting $110 to $176 per head, an unpublished percentage on top is the biggest single gap in this page.

The ceremony fee is $1,500 on four sources and $1,800 on Zola

The Knot, WeddingWire, Here Comes The Guide and Brides of Long Island all put the ceremony site fee at $1,500 in peak and off peak alike. Zola says $1,800, also in both seasons. Four against one, and nothing first party to settle it.

We are printing both. The gap is small against a whole wedding budget. It is still a clean example of why a marketplace number should never be treated as a quote. Five listings for one venue produced two different fees for the same service in the same year.

All sources agree there is no reception site fee. There is one further charge nobody quantifies: Here Comes The Guide says a rental fee applies if outside catering is used, and does not say how much.

Outside catering may be allowed here, which is unusual for a Long Island hall

Here Comes The Guide lists this venue as accepting outside catering with a rental fee, while requiring alcohol to be in house. For a Long Island catering hall that is close to unheard of. Most operators in this batch require both food and drink to come from their own kitchen and bar.

It appears on one source only. WeddingWire says outside vendors are permitted, which is a broader and vaguer statement. The venue's own vendors page recommends photographers, entertainment, florists, officiants, transportation and accommodation providers based on their experience and quality of work, and never says the list is mandatory.

If you want a specific caterer, this is worth a direct conversation, because the allowance would be a genuine differentiator. Get the rental fee amount at the same time, since publishing the rule without the price makes the rule impossible to evaluate.

Eighteen foot ceilings, the Sound outside, and no building history at all

The Grand Ballroom has eighteen foot ceilings and a dance floor, with a separate cocktail space alongside it. Outside there is a waterfront lawn and beach ceremony area on Long Island Sound. Here Comes The Guide adds a patio and deck, and The Knot and Zola both list a bridal suite or dressing room.

Eventective and Brides of Long Island describe it as a one room facility with a separate cocktail lounge, which is a plainer way of saying the same thing. No per room capacity table is published beyond the whole venue figure of 250.

The history is a blank and the claims about it conflict. The venue's own about page says over a decade hosting events and cites 40 years of hospitality experience for its leadership. Eventective and Brides of Long Island both say over a quarter century of experience. No source gives a construction year, an architect or a prior name for the building, so we are publishing no year.

Capacity is mostly settled. The venue says up to 250 on its own site. Here Comes The Guide breaks that into 250 seated for a ceremony indoors or out, 270 standing for cocktails and 250 seated for the reception. The Knot bands it 201 to 250. PartySlate says 100 seated, which contradicts everyone, and its listing is unclaimed by the venue.

One event at a time, and no end time published anywhere

The venue's own about page states a one event at a time philosophy. The Knot says the venue hosts one event daily and Brides of Long Island describes it hosting one affair at a time. Three sources, one of them the venue itself. This is the most solid claim on the page.

Against that, no reception end time and no music curfew is published anywhere. Here Comes The Guide notes that amplified music is permitted indoors and outdoors with some restrictions, and does not say what they are. On a waterfront property in a small Nassau village with houses nearby, some restrictions is a phrase that deserves a follow up question.

There is no written rain policy either, though an indoor ceremony option exists alongside the outdoor waterfront site and Here Comes The Guide states cocktails and reception are indoors only. So the fallback is real and unwritten, which is the pattern across almost every venue in this batch.

This suits a wedding of 150 to 250 that wants the Sound, one event on the property and a room with height to it. It suits less well a wedding under 100, a Saturday with a short guest list, or a couple who needs a fee schedule before touring. Tour hours run Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and weekends from 9am to 5pm, closed Mondays.
