Ten venues say on their own sites that the caterer is yours
10 venues
Most venues on this site cater in house or through one named caterer. These ten do not. Palmer Vineyards and Pindar Vineyards require an outside caterer. Sannino Vineyard makes catering and rentals yours to hire, with every vendor approved in advance. The rest are estates, farms and a museum that rent the place and leave the food to you.
Outside caterer required. Palmer states it is not licensed for food or liquor and that this is between you and your caterer. No approved list. Staff do not set up or break down rentals.

These claims come only from a marketplace
7 venues
For these seven, the only source saying outside catering is allowed is a marketplace listing. The venue’s own site does not confirm it. Treat each one as unconfirmed until the venue puts it in writing.
Bring your own caterer, per WeddingWire, which flags the venue BYOC. The vineyard's own site states no catering or vendor policy, so treat this as unconfirmed.
On site catering provided. Eventective records that outside catering is allowed. Not confirmed by the venue.

Where the sources disagree, we print both
8 venues
At these eight, one source says outside catering is allowed and another says it is not. We have not picked a winner, because we cannot. Ask the venue, and get the answer in the contract.
The brochure names in house Chef Dewa; The Knot says couples use their own vendors. Two outside caterers publish Roundtree accreditation pages. Unreconciled.
In-house catering, including kosher, halal and South Asian menus, and in-house vendor packages, per the venue. Eventective says outside catering is allowed, which conflicts.
In-house catering and bar; outside florists, photographers and entertainment welcome, per Invited. Eventective says outside catering is allowed, which conflicts.
All food and alcohol through the venue, per Wedding Spot. The venue's own Recommended Vendors page includes cultural caterers and off premise caterers with no restriction or fee stated; Eventective says outside catering is allowed.
In house kitchen, but the private events page invites enquiries that include outside catering through the same form. No outside vendor fee published.

Bringing your own caterer hands you three more jobs
Rentals. At Pindar, the tent, tables and chairs are the host’s responsibility. Palmer’s staff do not set up or break down rentals. At a dry hire site, assume every chair and every plate is on a rental invoice until the venue tells you otherwise. Tent and rental companies, with published package prices.
Alcohol. Palmer says it is not licensed for food or liquor, and that the question is between you and your caterer. Hallockville requires a TIPS or ATAP certified bartender and no self service. At Corey Creek, the approved caterer supplies and serves all alcohol. Sannino, Bedell and Pindar require their own wine.
Insurance. Bailey Arboretum wants a certificate of insurance from every vendor, naming the arboretum. Hallockville wants liability insurance naming the museum. The Mansion at Oyster Bay wants two certificates from each outside vendor. Ask your caterer for these the day you book them. Off premise caterers, with published rates labeled.
Short answers, with the source for each
Can you bring your own caterer to a Long Island wedding venue?
At a small number, yes. Palmer Vineyards and Pindar Vineyards require an outside caterer, and eight more venues say on their own sites that the caterer is yours to hire. Most venues on this site cater in house or through one named caterer.
Which Long Island vineyards let you bring a caterer?
Palmer and Pindar require one. Sannino makes the caterer yours to hire, with pre approval for every vendor. Bedell and Corey Creek require a caterer from an approved list, and Sparkling Pointe names six preferred caterers.
Does my caterer need a liquor license?
It depends on the venue, so ask in writing. Palmer says it is not licensed for liquor and leaves that to you and your caterer. Hallockville requires a certified bartender, and at Corey Creek the approved caterer serves all alcohol.
How this page was built
We read the labeled facts table on every one of the 164 venue profiles on this site and sorted each venue by what its row actually says, not by its tag. A venue is in the first group only if its own site says the caterer is yours to hire. First party means the venue’s own website or rate card. Marketplace means The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola, Wedding Spot, Eventective, PartySlate or Here Comes The Guide, and the row names which one.
Sources were read in September 2026. Nothing here is added, rounded, averaged or estimated. Being on this page is free, and no venue paid for its place. A venue that sees an error can send a correction.
